Hello It's Me VAL

Hello it's me, Val... the lady behind the camera.   I have a passion for all things sports and family.  I am a sports and family photographer out of the beautiful town of Lake Stevens, WA.

Having kids that put in hours upon hours at practice, in the studio and on the field I just knew I needed to capture it.  All to often I found myself watching my dancing daughter thinking, "wow" if only that was a photo... also thinking how in the heck do I capture it.  Let's just say my iphone wasn't doing the trick any longer leaving each performance with nothing but a stunning blurred leap. I am in constant awe of my kids talents and wanted to capture it forever. 

 

With the above being said you could imagine my family is in a million directions at all times.  We rarely would get time together and now with my oldest starting her own family its basically non-existent.  I started thinking how much I would have made the investment to have my family pictures taken more often.  My little family is pretty great!

This is why one day I decided to buy my very first "fancy" DSLR camera.  I have always had a love for photography and goofed around with my camera from time to time but now it was time to really get serious.  I couldn't believe that I was producing these pictures.  I was nervous to get started but even with the imperfections in my shoots I was proud and it filled me with joy.   THIS is what I have been searching for for years. 

 

I am so excited to continue learning, finding new fun ways to capture my peeps, researching techniques and equipment.  I want to provide families and athletes with a photo they can remember that moment forever.  I cannot wait to work with you!
